About FloryNest

One person, plain plan talk and a clear look at what a home warranty can do for the things you use every day.

Why I Started FloryNest

I kept seeing the same thing happen. A furnace would quit on a cold night or a fridge would stop cooling, and the homeowner would dig out a plan they had never really read. The repair was rarely the surprise. The fine print was.

So I set out to explain home warranty plans the way I would to a neighbor over the fence. What a plan covers, what it leaves out, how a service request moves and what the set service fee means for your budget.

FloryNest is just me. When you write in, you hear back from the same person who put every page of this site together.

Three Things I Hold To

These shape every plan conversation I have with a homeowner, big question or small.

Plain Words First

If a term needs a dictionary, I rewrite it. You should know what a plan says before you agree to anything.

Limits Stay in View

Coverage caps and exclusions belong in the story. I set them right beside the good news instead of tucking them away.

Your Own Pace

I never push a plan on anyone. Look things over, ask what you need and decide once it feels right to you.

How a service request moves

Spot the Problem

The AC blows warm air or the oven won't light. Note what happened and when.

Send a Request

Fill in a short online form with the item, the issue and your plan details.

Get Matched

A qualified local technician is matched to the request and checks the item.

Repair or Replace

If the failure is covered, the fix goes ahead for your set service fee.

Homes I Help Most

Every house has its own mix of systems and machines. These are the homeowners who reach out to me most often.

New Owners

You just got the keys and the appliances came with the house. A plan can soften the shock of that first repair.

Longtime Owners

Your furnace and water heater have seen many winters. I help you check how plans treat items with some age on them.

Busy Households

Laundry, dishes and dinner never really stop. When a machine gives out, you want one clear place to send a request.

Home Sellers

Some sellers offer a plan to the buyer as a selling point. I explain what that plan would carry so nothing is a surprise.

Questions People Ask Me

A few things homeowners like to know about how I work before they write in.

No. A home warranty is a service contract for wear and tear on systems and appliances. Insurance covers sudden damage like fire or storms.

Yes. Send me the parts that confuse you and I will explain them in simple terms, one line at a time.

Not at all. Questions cost nothing, and there is never any pressure to pick a plan before you are ready.

I do. Every note sent through my contact page or by email lands with me, and I read each one myself.

Usually, as long as they are in good working order when coverage begins. Each plan lists its own rules for that.
